If you have come this far, it is because you have been interested in my work and I thank you. Surely you have already seen something of what I do at weddings and you want to know who is the person behind the lens (if you have not seen it, here is the Wedding link or write me to send you some galleries); now! Stay here, I'm going to tell you a little about myself. (I hope I don't bore you) ;)
I introduce myself! I'm David and I love helping couples to create unique memories of the most important moments of their lives. I'm based in Seattle, WA. and I travel to any adventure place to take photos if you want :)
If there were a few words that I could describe myself with, it would be: Love, Family, Friends, Travel and Coffee, lots of Coffee!! (in short, that's me).
I see and feel photography as my refuge, my means of expression when words are no longer enough... because taking photos goes beyond a simple "click". Each photo is part of a story, it's art and you have to learn to value it; That is why I'm a photographer, because I have the opportunity to express myself through an image and that is what I thank each couple who have trusted me to create a memory worth seeing over and over again.
I really don't know. Since I was a child I traveled a lot for a business that my dad had. Every time I traveled, I would pay attention to the car window seeing the landscapes of the road and I loved it cause I love the Nature; believe me, I wanted to be able to save those moments that were totally magical, (I hope I'm not the only one who gets excited watching a sunset). I really never, never imagined that years later I would be living my dream as a child.
In 2017 I had the opportunity to assist a friend at a wedding and work with couples. At that moment I “clicked” with the Weddings. I immediately knew the type of photography I wanted to do, because I'm an emotional person and of course weddings are full of feelings and emotions that you can feel in your own skin in every moment. That is the reason.
I like to be different and authentic; I'm always exploring new techniques and I strive every day to have better results in each wedding, elopement or event I document.
I must tell you that something that characterizes me is that I always like to learn something from different disciplines. I'm going to tell you why.
I'm a Photographer, Auditor, Musician and Barista. something crazy, don't you think?; I have taken many photography courses and workshops, some face-to-face, others online, and I have learned something with the super teacher (YouTube), I studied Auditor and Master of Marketing at the University and I also have some certifications in the world of coffee (I'm a Coffee geek). I love teaching what I learn and I'm a super fan of exploring Google and YouTube to continue learning, aahhhh I've also been a musician since I was 15 years old.
You will ask yourself; but what about all this? For me it's simple! The good thing is that learning something new makes you expand your mind, opens up a world of opportunities and makes your vision and perception of life different. And I've met amazing people along the way and had the opportunity to travel.
Before dedicating myself completely to photography, I worked for more than 10 years in a bank, where I managed to have a good and stable position, but I realized that it was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, so I decided to quit, take a new way that I enjoyed to the fullest; (it hasn't been easy) but I'm here, excited and very happy to dedicate myself to something that really fulfills me as a person and I enjoy myself to the fullest.
And this is me! a simple mortal who likes to enjoy life and photography in all its forms and expressions... :)
